Do you constantly feel fatigued? Do you
suffer from shortness of breath, irregular heart beat, poor memory, lack of
stamina, and infections that are slow to heal, or don't heal at all?
You may
just be one of millions of Malaysian men who suffer from poor blood
circulation.
Believed
in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) to be the root cause of many modern
diseases, poor blood circulation is found to be more rampant in urban men
struggling to cope with the stresses of modern-day living.
Working
long hours, unrelieved stress and a lack of exercise is believed to be the main
cause of a sharp increase in degenerative conditions caused by poor blood
circulation.
This is
a condition that was previously mostly seen in middle-aged men, and those with
hypertension, diabetes or arteriosclerosis. It is now seen increasingly in
otherwise healthy men, and is a grave concern.
Those
who suffer the condition often also experience symptoms such as erectile dysfunction,
frequent urination, cold limbs, and lower back pain.
Other
symptoms of poor blood circulation prevalent in men include:
-
Chest
pain
-
Numbness
and weakness in arms and legs
-
Impaired
or slurred speech
-
Pain
or cramping in leg and hip
-
Slow
recovery from aches and tiredness
-
Slow
healing sores or wounds
-
Ignoring
these signs and symptoms can lead to serious health conditions, including the
loss of limbs, heart attack and stroke.
Traditional
Chinese medicinal prescriptions consist of herbs that treat "blood"
troubles, and have the effect of regulating qi and blood to treat poor blood
circulation. Treatment focuses on breaking the stagnation of qi and blood to
return the proper flow of energy in pathways known as meridians.
Opening
clogged meridians and allowing qi and blood to flow more freely through the
body improves overall blood circulation, and this in turn improves all the
above problems.
Medicated
wine or tonic is one of the methods that have been used as a remedy for
thousands of years. Its benefits include removing chills, improving digestion
and immune system, regulating qi, promoting restful sleep, as well as
regenerating and rejuvenating the body.
Medicated
wine or tonic is known to be highly effective for improving these conditions
and can be consumed by those with serious ailments under the supervision of a
licensed practitioner. Those with alcohol content of 15% and below are deemed
safe even for those who suffer from conditions such as hypertension and
diabetes.
